Gonna write a short write-up on the latest wordpress hack.

If you are owning your self-hosted Wordpress Blog and it’s been awhile since you update your wordpress version, you are most likely being infected with the hack! (Oh heck it happened to me!! And I lost all my data along the way..) Anyway the hacking will not damage your system or database but it’s good to have it removed early to avoid any bad things…
So there are 2 ways to check whether you are hacked or not!
1 -- Check the permalinks of your blog. Check different categories/dates of your old blog posts, if the permalinks looked suspicious or funny, congrats! You are now with me!
2 -- Check your administrator. You will see an extra 1 administrator (like my case, I have 2) but when you try to view all admins there will always be 1 missing and hidden. If you saw that, it’s your birthday!
So how to get rid of those? Well according to online sources there are 3 ways to get it done.
1 -- Let it be… The hackers need to get a life, or wait til the god saves you.
2 -- Remove all your wordpress, literally reinstall your whole wordpress files like me. But be careful that you did backups or you will end up like me too!! (i’ve lost all my files and archived posts due to technical problems in the midway… oh gosh… I wanna scream FIRE TRUCK loudly!!)
3 -- Another shorter way to do it but I’d rather let the expert explain to you here.
Having a bad day? I got to gave up all my old posts archived for almost 5 years!! Talk about all those nostalgia… *sigh…(whoever that wrote the stupid hacking codes.. curse YOU!!!)
